Most probably one of the best
known Panteras in the United States. The only Pantera to ever win back to back, the
Pantera International "White Glove" Concours in Monterey, California at the
world famous Concourso Italiano. Presented in television broadcasts on SpeedVision and
European Car magazine. Former cover car, Pantera International. The automobile has also
been displayed in the Grand Ballroom in 1996 and 1997 during the Pantera Owner's Club of
America Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. Inducted in 1997 into the Pantera International
"Hall of Fame" for outstanding presentation of a de Tomaso automobile, one of
only three automobiles to ever win this title.

Shown here in 1997 at the Concourso Italiano in
Monterey California alongside of the 1997 de Tomaso Guara which also made its United
States debut. This is a spectacular automobile that has been restored without limitation
of expense. For the de Tomaso enthusiast with the resources to purchase the
best possible example of a Pantera,
this opportunity is for you.
Description of the automobile:
This is the 116th Pantera ever built. It has the
rare and highly desirable, "push-button" type doors. The chrome trim pieces are
one piece and were handbuilt, unlike the later Ford era, production cars. The bumpers are
flat ended and also unique to this car is the original 2-spoke steering wheel, european
gauges and running lights (dots in the front quarter panels and none in the rear). The
dash itself is slightly different than later cars and has a map light and unusually placed
switch gear. The rear deck lid is seamless and has unusual, small rear emblems. The ZF
transmission is the early (and some people believe stronger) dash-1 type. The glove box is
locking and the battery is mounted in the rear (in front of the right rear tire). The
exhaust boxes are smaller with smaller cut outs than on the production cars.
The restoration itself was conducted to full
concours standards by Panteras by Wilkinson, at a cost in excess of $90,000.00 not
including this rare automobile. The owner, in total has spent over $125,000.00 on the car
and must now part with it.

The car actually sits lower overall than the new
Guara. The paint is shinier in this photograph and that is because the body was stripped
to the metal, double block sanded, double color sanded, double clear coated and finished
with the original, factory yellow shade. The engine bay has been extensively prepared and
then sprayed with "Body Schutz" as is the underside of the car and the hoods.
The vehicle has only been driven 2000 miles since the breath-taking restoration was
completed.

Tasteful upgrades to the car include, rotary air
conditioner, Sierra street/comp brake system with 4 piston calipers, Carrera shock
absorbers, lay down configured radiator with high flow fans and an all leather interior.
Thus, this car can be used for street and track enjoyment as well as Concours display or
presentation in an automotive museum.

The wheels shown on the Pantera were custom built
for this car and offer the owner the option of being able to use modern sized tires.
Behind the car can be seen trophies awarded at Concours for Best of Show, Best Paint and
Best Concours Pantera. If you decide to purchase this Pantera, you will need to build on a
room to store all the gold you will most probably earn with this phenomenal automobile.

If this important Pantera meets with your
